EUROMUN Committee

The EUROMUN Committee is responsible for the planning, staging and execution of EuroMUN as this has become a focal point in the academic calendar in Maastricht since 2008. In 2011, students from over 50 different nationalities came to Maastricht to debate and enjoy the unique feeling of taking part in the second largest conference of its type in Europe with over 550 delegates attending.

In order to realize the 5th edition of this project, EuroMUN 2012, the Conference Manager works with a team collectively called the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is comprised of several departments that arranged as follows:

  • PR & Communication - The main task of the PR committee is to promote EuroMUN to the outside. In other words, we guarantee that as many people as possible get to know about EuroMUN. This is organised both on a local basis in Maastricht as well on a global level via the use of social media.
  • Logistics - The logistics committee's main task is to coordinate activities, locations and schedules for EuroMUN. Furthermore it organizes accommodations for the delegates, the three pre-programs and the social events with its grand finale, the delegates dance.
  • Content - The Content Committee has the vital role to provide an exciting factual basis for EuroMUN 2012. Thus, it prepares the study guides for the simulations in May and invites keynote speakers to further increase the attractiveness of the conference.
  • Pre-Program - Organizing the two day program in the European cities around Maastricht. In the past cities such as Brusseles, The Hague, Luxembourg and Bonn have been visited.
  • Finance - As EuroMUN is a large conference it also requires similar funding. This task is assured to Finance. Making sure the conference can be accounted for financially as well as keeping track of all spendings necessary for EuroMUN, it is part of Finance.
